This policy explains how AI for Recruitment (“we”, “us”), which operates AI for Recruitment at aiforrecruitment.com.au, handles personal information. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), where they apply to us.
What we collect
- Newsletter. If you subscribe, your email address and any details you choose to give. Our newsletter provider, beehiiv, stores your subscription and handles sending.
- Messages and submissions. If you email us or submit a tool, your name, email address and what you send us.
- Sponsor enquiries. Business contact details and the information you provide about a campaign.
- Basic usage data. Our hosting provider may record technical information such as pages requested and approximate location, in aggregate. We don’t use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
Stored in your browser
Saved tools and comparisons are kept in your browser’s local storage on your device. They aren’t sent to us.
How we use it
To send the newsletter you asked for, reply to you, review submissions, manage sponsorships and keep the site running and secure. We don’t sell personal information. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in every email, in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
Who we share it with
Service providers that help us run the site and newsletter, such as our hosting and email providers. Some of them store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We don’t share your details with sponsors or the vendors listed in the directory unless you ask us to.
Links to other sites
The directory links to vendors’ websites. Their privacy practices are their own, so check their policies before you share information with them.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or make a privacy complaint, by emailing hello@aiforrecruitment.com.au. We’ll respond within a reasonable time, usually 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
We may update this policy. The latest version will always be on this page.
